With the world finally emerging from the restrictions imposed during the COVID crisis, the jewellery industry is now required to compete without certain of the strategic advantages it had during the pandemic, and this is occurring during a period of economic slowdown in many regions, CIBJO President Gaetano Cavalieri told the Global Pearl Development Conference in Zhuji, China, on May 21, 2023.
The World Jewellery Confederation pays tribute to Harry Levy, who passed away in London on May 15, 2023, at age 83. During his long and important career he held a variety of roles in CIBJO, as well as in other industry bodies, both in the United Kingdom and internationally.

An online registration form for the congress is available, and, since the CIBJO Congress 2023 will be a carbon neutral event, participants are also requested to complete a carbon foot-printing form.
The World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO) will hold its 2023 annual congress in Jaipur, in the Indian State of Rajasthan, from October 3 to October 5. Pre-congress meetings will be held on October 1 and 2.
