Its membership includes national jewellery and gem association from about 45 countries and many of the international jewellery sector\u2019s leading corporations and service providers.<\/p>\n<p>A key elements of CIBJO\u2019s work is the harmonisation of standards and nomenclature applied by the industry worldwide, and the promotion of responsible business practices through jewellery industry supply chains. This toolkit should be used in conjunction with the CIBJO\u2019s Responsible Sourcing Book.<\/p>\n<p>The toolkit follows the list of actions recommended in the checklist at the end of the CIBJO Responsible Sourcing Book. The Toolkit comprises 9 modules, each one of which relates to a specific section of CIBJO&#8217;s Responsible Sourcing Blue\u00a0 Book. Each module provides a detailed explanation of that section, and also a number of downloadable files, in MS Word or PDF format, which can be used to do the due diligence described. They include templates, forms, sample declarations and additional information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">While the modules are organised in the sequence that the subjects are addressed in the Responsible Sourcing Blue Book, they do not need to be applied in any particular order. However, it is recommended that users complete the first four modules before continuing one to the remaining six modules. Use of the Toolkit and the downloadable files are free of charge, and many of the tools (or files) can be used with no additional costs involved.
