ACCOMPANYING PERSONS' TOUR
For persons accompanying delegates to the 2026 CIBJO Congress in Vicenza, Italy, the congress organisers are offering at no cost a full-day boat tour of the Venetian islands.
The tour will take place on Sunday, September 6, 2026. Places on the boat are are limited, so pre-registration for the tour is required. Only the first 70 people to register will be guaranteed a spot.
Venice is a unique city in the world, built on water and crossed by canals instead of streets. Its charm lies in its historic palaces, iconic bridges and the romantic atmosphere you can feel everywhere.
The Venetian island of Murano, which the tour will visit, is famous for its glassmaking art. Here you can visit historic furnaces and watch master glassmakers at work. The island’s Glass Museum tells about centuries of artisanal tradition.

Its sister island of Burano, which the tour will also visit, enchants visitors with its colourful houses and lively atmosphere. It is known for its handmade lace and picturesque canals, perfect for relaxing walks and unique photos.
The tour will be hosted on a private boat with an onboard guide, featuring a panoramic terrace, restroom facilities, and a paid bar service. Lunch will be complimentary and served on board.
